The challenge
As the Leadership Skills Foundation grew and began to diversify its work across the UK, it became increasingly apparent that their existing business management system, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016, was no longer fit for purpose. It was becoming more difficult to work with and offered limited opportunities for further upgrades or support from Microsoft.
Leadership Skills felt they needed a more modern, flexible solution that could support a devolved team operating virtually, streamline operations, and provide a robust foundation for future growth and compliance.
The solution
When looking at new systems to upgrade to, Leadership Skills Foundation evaluated both Sage and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Sage was quickly discounted, as it lacked the out-of-the-box finance functionality the organisation required.
TVT (formerly known as TVision) were already a known quantity to Leadership Skills. They had been working together since 2016 when they moved their support contract for NAV over to TVT from a previous partner. TVT provided, in the words of Leadership Skills, “sound and helpful technical support as and when we have needed it” and the move to Business Central SaaS from NAV was “quick, uncomplicated and relatively painless.”
The results
Business Central’s out-of-the-box functionality reporting allows the business to build their own reports and answer business questions directly.
