The challenge
Ripley Wines had outgrown its legacy systems: first a heavily customised Navision solution, then a browser-based Oracle NetSuite system that failed to meet the unique needs of the wine trade.
The lack of industry expertise from previous partners led to inefficiencies and a solution that was not fit for purpose. The business needed an industry-specific ERP that could handle complex drinks industry requirements, integrate seamlessly with finance and operations, and be supported by a team that truly understood the sector.
The solution
Bevica, TVT’s ERP solution for the drinks industry, was chosen for its out-of-the-box drinks industry functionality and seamless integration with the Microsoft stack. Crucially, TVT (formerly known as TVision) was selected as the implementation partner due to our extensive experience within the wine trade itself. The TVT team’s deep sector knowledge and collaborative approach ensured that Ripley Wines’ specific requirements were understood and met at every stage.
The implementation project, led by a TVT project manager and consultant, began in October 2020. We provided hands-on support throughout, including data migration, best practice advice, and go-live assistance. The result was a smooth transition, with Ripley Wines going live with Bevica (powered by Business Central) in May 2021.
