The challenge
Watco had outgrown its on-premise NAV 2017 system. With multiple localised NAV implementations across the UK, France, and Germany, the business faced fragmented data, inconsistent processes, and difficulty gaining a single view of operations. As part of a large, US-based group, Watco needed to modernise its ERP, integrate with the Microsoft stack, and support complex, multi-country operations -without business disruption.
The challenge was to migrate large datasets and re-integrate front- and back-end systems while maintaining business continuity and meeting strict audit requirements.
The solution
TVT has been Watco’s trusted partner since 2008. When it outgrew its NAV system, Watco chose to move to Business Central SaaS because of its seamless integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure, robust API capabilities, and cloud-based flexibility.
TVT led the multi-phase migration to Business Central - starting with the UK, then France, and finally Germany. Each migration required bespoke integrations, language and localisation support, and careful planning to ensure zero downtime. The project included rewriting routines for cross-border order fulfilment, migrating historical data for analytics, and supporting dual-language operations for new territories like Belgium. TVT’s expertise ensured that even complex requirements, such as inventory migration and statutory compliance, were met.
